Well, for starters, my Buffy the Vampire and Angel DVD collection. I even have the musical episode of Buffy on CD (and yes, I DO know all the words to all the songs!). I even have The Watcher’s Guide companion book. I have all of Fringe on DVD as well, and a bunch of the graphic novels and even some of the other books such as Into the Looking Glass exploring the Worlds of Fringe, and of course September’s Notebook. I also believe that FireFly was one of the best things ever to grace the TV airwaves, and I am still angry over it being cancelled after only one season.

My friend and I made doctor who costumes for the local comic con for all the kids including hand made wolverine claws and a custom sewn tenth doctor suit and trench coat made by my friend its was so awesome

The nerdiest thing about me is how often I say “Okay, we can read some comics, but first we need to wash our hands” to my kids.

I have been sitting here thinking of what the nerdiest thing is about me and can’t seem to come up with anything. I am not into Star Wars, but am a knitter and crocheter and I save every little ball of yarn I have. I guess that is kind of nerdy.

I think I am just normal but I watch Star Trek over and over. I love to be on the computer and if I am not on the computer I am playing games on the PS4. I am a mother of 8 and a grandmother of 18 and I never had time for this when my kids were growing up but now all I can say is “Step away from the PS4, because it’s grandma’s turn to play”. I am taking full advantage of not having children at home so before long I will join the ranks of “nerds across America”. Maybe it will be “senior nerds across America” but I will get there.

We have a Batman Lego collection (spread out on display ALL over the house) that literally makes everyone who comes over swoon. The monetary value of it is disgusting.

A previous employer wanted to pay me as a consultant so I needed to incorporate. The company name I chose was Hazzard Oil and Gas Limited in honour of my favourite childhood TV show. That name is even nerdier since the naming convention used here for drilling wells would lead to any wells my company drilled as operator beginning in name with HOG.

It is all things nerd with these kids today. First it was “Dad, when can we watch Star Wars?!” Then they were all, “DAD! I want to watch Dr Who!” They even keep bugging me to take them to the comic book shop. It’s like I’m raising the perfect kids!

Went to the U.K. to go to the Jane Austen Festival. I had the dress, bonnet, shawl and reticule, and was glad I didn’t feel like an idiot seeing that lots of people attended in full costume. The day before the festival, I was on a tour of a church and one of the people on the tour saw a few people dressed in costume on the street and asked the guide about it. She told the person that every year these weirdos come and dress up in costumes and walk around.

Where do I start? I owned a Sailor Moon fan club when I was 14 (run out of the comic shop in Orleans), I have a Doctor Who bumper sticker on my car, I dressed my son up as The Doctor and brought him to the Ottawa Comic Expo. I have a collection of mangas and comics. Do you need more? I have more 😉

I MUST have the shelves orderly in the pantry. All the dried beans are lined up in jars based on the size of the bean, canned items must have the label facing out, pasta is organized by size… the list goes on… I am a nerd!

I’m a math teacher and my room is decorated with various math jokes. I have a clock with expressions instead of numbers for the time. And while pregnant I wore a maternity shirt that said “Future Math Genius” on my belly.

My girls are really cool and my hubs looks like Tom Cruise and acts like Charles Bronson (if you know what I mean). I gave the Nerd Gene to my Son and this Mystery Box would make the Best Gift Ever From Mom (there is a new word for Nerd now, my girls call me “Genius” with a sarcastic tone) 😉
