Project #DadFit – Week 5: A P90X3 For Me, A P90X3 For You!
This has been an interesting week. I was flying high after running the Army Run 5K last weekend and was looking forward to carrying that forward into this week’s workouts. As fate would have it, I came down with something and was unable to do too much exercising. I still managed to skate with my son’s hockey team and squeeze in a visit to the gym but overall I was pretty laid out with the sickness and didn’t eat well at all because of it.
That said, I still feel motivated and hope to get back on track starting today! Before the sickness last week, I had been trying out the new P90X3 program from Beachbody Canada. I had tried the original P90X program last year but found it way too difficult for someone with my build and lack of flexibility and endurance. The P90X3 program is much easier for me and at only 30 minutes each, the disks are more than manageable. That’s not to say I don’t struggle at times but I have been going at my own pace and have really enjoyed the results so far.
After talking to the people at Beachbody Canada, they have agreed to let me give away one of their P90X3 programs to one of you! I’m telling you, no matter what you think about your abilities, you CAN do this program. Warning: There will be times that you swear at Tony Horton during the workout, so you’ll want to make sure the kids are out of earshot. Good Luck!
Time, especially with a 1 year old starting to get into everything!
I need more varity to keep it interesting.
my will, lol
My lazyness!
Pain. It’s a vicious circle. Pain from not being active, need to get active to get rid of my pain, in too much pain most days to be active. Yep definitely a vicious circle!
Procrastination!
Yeah, I need this… Pretty badly…
Started but never finished this, but with a baby on the way I got to get in tip top shape and this would be a great way to do it.
I don’t have enough time to exercise!
time due to my commute to and from work
I love to procrastinate, leading to too short of a workout time.
I totally need something with an end goal in order to get back into shape. My soft doughy tummy needs to go away forever!
One wonky knee holds me back sometimes.
I heard this program was good for knees. Just as an FYI 🙂 http://www.tridoshawellness.com/build-better-knees/
Actually, nothing. I try to exercise every day. I would love this for the cold winter months ahead for when I don’t feel like braving the cold weather. Thank you for this awesome opportunity!
WORK!! by the time I get off work I don’t feel like going to the gym! lol.
The one thing holding me back is purging the junk from my meals and eating right! I have 20 lbs to lose before a trip in February and P90X3 would be just what I need!!
finding a balance between school, work and newborn is holding me back from exercising
Definitely time holding me back due to an 18 month old in the house…
The one thing holding me back from exercising is … procrastination.
Procrastination sadly!!!!
Pure sloth
I need to get myself into a good habit.
Time
laziness
just pure laziness is stopping me from exercising
Sounds like a good one. I would like to try it out!
One thing that is holding me back is my lack of modivation. I need more.
Finding time definitely holds me back. I exercise 30 mins a day but very badly need something that will work the whole body and keep me motivated
Lack of motivation is holding me back. But I need to get it back. And soon.
Time!
Poor sleep patterns so I’m always tired
Tired after work
I would say time….but really that’s a poor excuse….there’s really nothing holding me back except me
L.
I lack motivation. Not getting any younger and if I want to be active I need to get my rear in gear.
Just making the time to exercise can be tough.
I am, indeed, the only thing standing in my way.
Time. Working full time, I only really have after I get my daughter to bed, but that’s when I do everything else. Also, my husband goes to sea on rotation, so 50% of the time it’s just me and a 19 month old, so I can’t get out to exercise.
i wouldn’t say anything holds me back, i enjoy exercising. my job exhausts me, so the fact that i’m really tired is the reason that i may miss a workout
I have no excuse accept laziness.
I feel lazy!
OMG, lack of $. . Thank you for the awesomeness, the contest, and generosity.
lack of will power
Long days at work.
Time and willpower
Love the Beachbody products!!
And time! Not enough
I truly need this. Weight is going up no matter what I do. MRI on the knee this Friday so hopefully back in full force soon.
I exercise everyday, but I still avoid some types of exercise that I am less motivated to do. I should do more deadlifts, but I tend to do mindless cardio more often instead.
Motivation.
Work gets in the way.
Ummm….really bad excuses!
Lack of time
Kids. 🙂 It’s hard to exercise with three kids underfoot and needing attention. Other than that, just finding time. 🙂 (Or maybe those are related?)
Trying to find the time
I currently am walking, but need a place to exercise at home. space does not seem big enough
Doing the 21 day fix, would love to rock it up with Tony!
Let’s be honest, I’m just too lazy! If I could only burn calories every time I thought about working out, it would be a perfect world 🙂
Kids leave me too worn out for a regular workout, but this seems like it could work?
Long work day, commuting, have to make dinner, and then lack of energy
Time is definitely the major factor holding me back from exercising.
I would have to say it is the time element although I do realize you should make time to take care of yourself. I believe that taking care of yourself through exercise benefits your whole family as you just feel better.
Simply scheduling it in
motivation! My brain just doesn’t want to!
The biggest thing is time and trying to coordinate everyone’s schedules.
I loved p90X and two years ago, I tried my friend’s copy of the program and lost over 25 pounds. KenPo was my absolute favourite exercise! Right now, I am working three jobs so it is super difficult to make time for the gym. I would love to have my own copy of P90X to work out to at home.
Procrastination!
something different everyday, could be the weather, or decorating, or the wind blowing to the south lol
With four kids, a hubby who travels a lot for work and a busy career, it is hard to stick to a program.
Hard to find the time with work, school and time on the road through Toronto traffic!
I like to procrastinate
Lack of motivation
Distractions
Having to bring my son with me to the gym or go in the evenings.
No motivation
6 month old baby – no time!
I get distrac…oh candy.
lacking motivation to start exercising. once I start then there’s no problem continuing to exercise
Today it was decorating, I was going to go for a run then my wife said, “I thought we could finish painting the living room tonight?” Running cap away and pain roller out…….
Babysitting for my daughter!
Nothing is holding me back! i love exercise! I would LOvE to win this and I would actually do it! Thanks for the opportunity!
The kids, it is hard tio find time
I am my own problem. I just dont make it a priority as I should!
don’t like going to the gym
What’s holding me back? Mostly time. I have little time to myself at home, and what I do have, I want to spend it with my wife and kids. I wish there was P90X liposuction, ab growth and permanent fat reduction programs.
The busy life of a mom that commutes to work, with kids in tow, to drop them off at school near work, picks them up, rushes home to make dinner/homework/housecleaning/after school activities….or appointments/advocating/phone calls for oldest daughter that has #SelectiveMutism….weekend activities/play dates/birthday parties. And repeat….whew! That’s almost a workout in itself!
Lack of time and motivation.
My job, long day with commute
Stress and a busy workload.
I find i am just tired after working and kids.
Today it was installing the new dishwasher – although it was a half decent excuse today 🙂
I’m entering this for my brother and his answer is work.
Time!
My lazyness!
Im a lazy butt lol
I find there is always something else to do , and have a hard time just getting me time!
lack of motivation 🙁
lack of time and motivation
Heard about this program and the positive results…would love to try it myself 🙂
Laziness for me.
Cheers.
